Gimme A Bold Lip...Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Muse

As you may already know, I am a complete sucker for a bold lip and am constantly looking out for a new bold colour to add to my collection...in comes Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Muse.

I actually came across this lipstick whilst watching one of my favourite blogger's videos, Vivianna, and am so glad I did because it is currently one of my favourite bold lip colours!

The colour is a very bright (almost neon) coral-red which is richly pigmented and dramatically matte which I absolutely love. It glides on like a dream and feels velvety smooth despite being matte in finish. The icing on the cake is that this lipstick is said to deliver “up to 14 hours of continuous wear without flaking or dryness”, I know right?! I must admit, I haven’t worn this for 14 hours so I can’t vouch for that, but boy does it last long. I had this on for about 6 hours on Friday night (I forgot I was wearing it until I was removing my makeup before bed) and had been eating and drinking and it still looked gorgeous at the end of the night. The test however, will be whether it will last the time on a night out so look forward to trying this out!

Another thing I love about this is that despite having  a matte finish, it doesn’t feel like it dries my lips out and feels silky smooth to apply without leaving any tackiness, which is possibly due to the ‘good stuff’ that’s in it: skin-conditioning emollients, anti-oxidant fruit extracts, Cili Fruit and Goji Berry and Vitamins A,C and E.

So...to round up, a few reasons why this lipstick is so amazing:

• Dramatic bold colour
• Matte effect without drying lips out
• Cili fruit and goji berry extracts which offer anti-oxidant protection for the lips, with added protection from Vitamins A, C and E.
• Extended coverage means you don’t need to reapply during the day.
• Free of parabens, pythalates, sulphates and lanolin.
• A little goes a long way so I can see this lasting me a long time.
